Indiamart rejigs senior management; appoints new CFO, CIO, Retail News, ET Retail

New Delhi: B2B e-commerce major, Indiamart has appointed Jitin Diwan as its new chief financial officer, effective from May 15, the company said in a regulatory filing on Monday.

Diwan comes with over 17 years of experience and has previously led Upstox Securities as Head of Finance (Vice President) and also worked with organizations such as Amazon India, Bharti Airtel Limited and Vodafone.

Diwan will overtake Prateek Chandra, who served as the current CFO of the company. Chandra on the other hand will transition into a new role within the company as chief strategy officer with effect from June 15, the filing read.

“…, the Company has invested Rs 1100 Cr over the last few years, in pursuing inorganic growth opportunities in the areas of B2B, Fintech, Logistics and business SAAS, and have acquired Busy Infotech and Livekeeping Technologies and made multiple minority investments. As a next step to nurture and grow these investee companies while deriving mutual synergies with Indiamart business, as well as exploring other organic and inorganic growth opportunities, the Company is creating a new role of ‘Chief Strategy Officer’ within the organization,” the company said.

Additionally, Indiamart said that it has appointed Nikhil S. Prabhakar as its chief information officer. Prabhakar has over 13 years of experience and comes with core expertise in business management, sales management, product management and leadership. Before joining Indiamart, he was previously associated with Pristyn Care, Ola Financial Services and Bharti Airtel.

The company has also re-appointed Dinesh Chandra Agarwal, as its MD and CEO for 5 years with effect from January 8, 2025.
